I absolutely loved the colorful and bright decorated furniture throughout the hotel. It brought back memories of the traditional island style in a modern and vibrant way. The general areas of the hotel were easily accessible for senior people like myself, with wide hallways and elevators available for use.
I would have appreciated more assistance from the staff. The children working there seemed overwhelmed and were not able to provide the level of service I expected for a vacation geared towards senior people.

We arrived early but our room was ready - on the 4th floor with a harbour view; AC on due to the sunshine - a nice touch. The room was almost luxurious, nicely decorated and a large bathroom. We spent the day on the island and swimming at the beaches, returning to a nice cool room and a shaded balcony with a drink watching the boats come in and the passing parade below. After a sound sleep we had a very good breakfast before heading for the ferry back to Sardinia.

Comfortable bed and correct breakfast.
Un etablissement dans lequel nous ne retournerons pas !! Our booking at Hotel Riviera was a fiasco ; a problem with the room. The shower room was functionnel but ugly ( equipped for a handicapped client - a folding chair fixed to the wall of the shower etc...). At reception we asked for an other room such as shown on Booking. "No other room is available, the hotel is full" was the initial reply even though we had arrived early in the day (14 h 30). Eventually the manager, extremely unpleasant, announced that there was indeed an other room available....... For an extra 30 € per night. Our booking was non refundable : we were trapped so we accepted. The new room had a sea view but the sofa and the chair were grimy and had large stains. Several of the staff were unpleasant ; at 23h15 we were in the wifi area and the night porter, without saying a word just switched off the lights and disappeared.

The staff was super helpful and friendly, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver after a day of exploring. We had a blast snorkeling and diving in the crystal-clear waters, and the bicycle excursions allowed us to see the stunning seabottoms from a unique perspective. It was a dream vacation!
The only thing that would have made our stay even more fun for young party-goers like us would be if the hotel had a lively bar or lounge area where we could hang out and socialize with other guests. It would have been the perfect place to unwind and meet new friends after our adventures exploring Carloforte.

This hotel has clearly been tarted up recently and it has been done well. The decor is simple but effective. What we liked especially was our balcony looking out over the busy port, every thing going on, ferries coming in and out, with a backdrop of the mainland beyond. Good sized, well appointed room with an excellent bathroom. This was December so the discreet heating was good. Carloforte is unspoilt and the island itself on a scale that reminded us of some of the smaller Scilly Isles, with the same quietness. Charming.
The lobby, though undoubtedly stylish, is a little clinical and unwelcoming. Perhaps for this reason, no locals ever seemed to set foot in the bar/cafe so it feels rather remote from town life. It was off season, of course.

I always return for the warm welcome and helpful staff who gave me currency tips on my first visit. This place suits me perfectly with Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, bar, and restaurant. Plus, amenities like laundry, hiking, and in-room breakfast. Coming back for Easter!

We had an incredible family experience exploring the mesmerizing ocean floors during our snorkeling adventure. The crystal-clear waters near Carloforte allowed us to witness the vibrant marine life up close, providing an unforgettable perspective. Additionally, the bicycle excursions around the island were a true delight, allowing us to soak in the picturesque views and immerse ourselves in the local culture.
My wife says that having a kids' play area or a dedicated children's pool would have made the stay even more enjoyable for our little ones.

Upon my arrival, was greet by lovely gentlemen and a lady, she didnt smile lots (most italian didnt smile much) but she's very hepful and presized with information on shuttle bus to beaches nearby (a real bonus of staying in the hotel) soundproof, although street at day and night bit busy, located conveniently on the port where embarcked from/to Portovesme. Room was spotted on with a touch of Sardinian decor. The amenities and facilities was fabulous. The view from roof garden of the hotel is fabulous. Restaurants and caffeè within walking distance and fantastic evening stroll in the town and port's boulevard. My compliment for the guy whom suggested on best beach spot and dinner. Grazie mille per il tua ospitalità e anche di uomo guidatore per spiaggia la Bobba camminato e buona osteria raccomandato, ancora ritorno ..
The Air condition hardly cold...

The breakfast had a good variety and was perfect to start my day. The air conditioning in the room was a lifesaver after a long day under the hot sun. the location was perfect as it was nearby the port and other attractions to explore.
The lack of non-fish dishes in the restaurants led me to crave something different towards the end of my stay. , the slow Wi-Fi in my room was a bit of a bummer as I needed to stay connected with my loved ones during my Easter getaway.

The hotel is superbly located on the waterfront in Carloforte, everything within easy reach and a free parking close by. The rooms are very nice, clean and depending on your budget you can spruce out on your own terrace or on the rooftop terrace. There's a shuttle available to take you to the beach around the corner and wifi is available for free in the common area. A 4 star hotel with rooms starting from 69€ is a steal however only in the off season ;-)
How to end badly ? The service from everyone was impeccable until we went to check out and ran into the manager and her sidekick at the reception desk... hardly interested didn't even ask how we liked our stay there (mind you we didn't stay in the 69€ rooms) and generally just wanted to keep talking on the phone to whomever it was. Her sidekick was so uninterested in answering the potential client's question he/she just hung up in the end. As an experienced traveler (professionally and personally) I was aghast by this behavior and the discrepancy between the excellent service until then.

Nice hotel with freindly staff. Weather was awful so we spent a lot of time in our room, which was nice. Breakfast ok. Many nice restaurants in Carloforte, with great pasta.
One fo the reasons we chose the hotel was because of the roof-top terrace with bar and nice view. However it was closed while we were there, probably due to the weather (rainy), but the second night if would have worked perfectly, but it was closed anyway :(

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to make our trip memorable. They even upgraded our room at no extra cost and it had a stunning view of the sea. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the ferry and close to restaurants and bike rentals. The hotel facilities were great, with a delicious breakfast spread including gluten-free options. we highly recommend this hotel!
Nothing to dislike. This hotel exceeded our expectations.

The peace and tranquility being right on the harbour. The helpfulness of the manager and his staff and their willingness to please. The shuttle to the various beaches on the island. The restaurant under the same management was particulary good!!
